It's a Way of Life

Loving all my time at home, because it gives me the freedom to go eat lunch with my husband and hang with him during the day when I want to!  He's not thrilled that I'm on a picture kick (thanks to this blog), but these moments should be remembered. I love what he does and how much hard work he puts into his work. Farming and ranching is truly a lifestyle - not just a job. I grew up knowing the ranch operation side, but this whole farming thing was new to me. I saw the long days, calloused hands, tan lines, stress and passion that goes along with it all through my father and I love seeing it through Ben now!

Some people don't see the beauty here, but I can't help but be in constant awe of all the small pieces that make one beautiful picture of life.

No he doesn't normally process with gloves - medicated ear tags! :)

Now I just need to go out on a "field day" to capture the farming side! But I did get a picture of the canola blooms - so pretty, so smelly.

Country Roads

Lately I've been cooped up in the house or the library trying to study for my upcoming boards..needless to say, I've needed to get out of the house and even the "city". Ben, Dally and I went and explored some land and took a good, long walk down some country roads. I don't know what it is about being in the country, with the noises of nature and the beauty surrounding me, but that is my happy place - Dally was enjoying it too!

Seriously, how beautiful is this?

Walking with Dally is a struggle sometimes.

Dally hates rye as much as her Daddy does!

Trip to Cimarron

Dally and I had a great time the last few days visiting my parents!

We were really excited!

Thursday we helped Dad a little on the golf course!  Belle, Sadie and Dally enjoyed burning off lots of energy around the course!

Had to get a picture documenting that he wears his "Pharmacy Dad" shirt!

The course looks beautiful. Dad puts so much time and effort into making this course a beautiful escape in small town Kansas.

Did I mention that he and another man built the wagon wheels from scratch?

Dad knows how to get Dally all wound up.

Somehow I always have a project or two that I need his assistance on! He secretly loves helping with my crafts!

Dally was exhausted on the way home Friday. Sometimes a girl just needs some cuddle time with her Momma...sometimes it's an inconvenient time, but I won't argue with it!

It was a short, much needed trip. I miss my parents all the time and wish we lived closer. I cannot wait to see them again.

Richert Wedding

This weekend was an amazing celebration of one of my best friends, MacKenzie and her love, Lefty (aka Zach). After an entertaining tripod Thursday with Lefty, Tyler and Brett we finally arrived in Nebraska around midnight. After some much needed sleep we got up bright and early Friday and started setting up. It was BEAUTIFUL.

The day, April 11, 2015, finally arrived! We were up, coffee in hand for me, and ready to be beautified! She was really the most beautiful bride. I was so honored to be chosen to be standing up right beside her for one of the most important days of her life.

Oh and her flower girl, was also adorable.

Farm Day with Ben

This weekend we enjoyed a beautiful day on the farm with Ben! Dally is still pretty unsure of the cattle and they weren't too sure of her either!
