Movie night with Cooper Dillon

CD asked Katie if he could have a movie party with Dally (yes, she's a dog but she's basically a human!) Ben, Dally and I were very excited! We ordered some pizza, Ben surprised us with cookies, watched a movie, had a dance party and played a little farm! It was a great night! 

Baby Boy P!

1 Samuel 1:27 "For this child (they) have prayed, and the LORD has granted (them their) petition that (they) made to him." 

This weekend we got to celebrate one beautiful mama and baby P!  It was a great day full of love and true joy! The kind of joy that only comes after the utter sadness. The joy of a truly strong woman who has been through loss but is now patiently awaiting this beautiful baby boy! We all can't wait to meet him (some of us are even hoping for some red hair - not mama!).

Summer Nights

It appears that summer is right on the verge of being here! Last night we went to hang by the pool over at KCK - how is it already time for swimming!? I love summer - the long days, relaxing time by the pool, nights on the porch/patio/deck with friends, harvest and just the happiness that goes along with warm weather and sunlight! 

(It may have been a little cold still outside but the pool was warm and they seemed to enjoy themselves quite a bit!)

MD 2016 ** Payne Workday

Yesterday I spent Mother's Day with many more family members than just my mom. For her gift, Granny wanted a Payne Workday to get her house painted and to get the yard back in shape! So 30 people and several hours later, it looked pretty great!  It was so good to see my extended family outside of Thanksgiving and Christmas. I love being in such a huge family where your cousins feel more like siblings and your aunts and uncles treat you like their own!

Cattle Drive '16

Two weekends ago Ben asked if I would help with moving some cattle back home to the farm and I'm just now getting around to looking through all of the pictures. Of course, I was excited to help, but I was even more excited when he suggested that I could take some pictures of them!  I happily agreed and lined up to borrow one of Katie's cameras so that I could get some quality pictures. Saturday morning rolled around and I was going to get the camera when Katie asked if Ben would mind if her and Cooper could join. I was so excited to have them and Cooper was pretty darn excited to get to ride horses for a while!

After a while and a few roundup ups, the cattle were finally on the road and on their way! Katie, Cooper and I were in the gator keeping the back end going. I roped Katie into taking the pictures for me so I could drive and man am I glad I did (her pictures were so much better than mine)! She got some AWESOME ones!

Moving cattle from field to field is something that these guys do frequently throughout the year.  Glad that I was able to be a part of this one!
