MacKenzie's Bachelorette Weekend

This weekend I had the pleasure of celebrating one of my best friends!  Off to Lincoln, NE we went to celebrate her soon to be wedding with a bachelorette party Saturday and a Bridal Shower Sunday!

Didn't get too many pictures from the weekend, but here's a few.

It was so good to see and catch up with so many of my Tabor friends that I haven't seen in years!!  Love celebrating this lady. Can't wait to stand up with her during one of the most special moments of her life!

I ended the weekend cuddling with my pup and working on school stuff (8 more days!).

Life Update

So life has been busy lately. Here's a brief update on us the last few weeks!

First off..it's Lent and my Bible study group started the She Reads Truth Lent study. I'm loving it. It's teaching me that Lent isn't about giving something up, but rather getting something - the Cross. This is a season of looking within yourself, repenting those things that need to be (which is so hard) and realizing that He is there at the other end.  Growing closer to Him is the whole point and the ladies at SRT open my heart to this every single day.

I finally got a little "bro time" in!  I love these guys like brothers and I'm so glad that we get to see them so often!  I'm all for a little girl time - but it makes my heart happy to hang with these guys too!

I finished up rotation #8 at the end of February!  Luckily I finished up on Thursday, so I had a long weekend at home with my family. We ended up taking a day trip out to SWKS to see my Grandpa before surgery. We couldn't stay due to a snowstorm moving through, but I was so grateful that Ben gave up our date day to be on the road with me for 6 hours only to spend about 3-4 hours with my family.

Like mentioned before - the snowstorm. Dally was in HEAVEN!! She absolutely loves the snow and I swear she never gets cold! We played in it as much as we could - or until my fingers were icicles.

We got a little stir crazy - so Ben took us with him to check waters.

On Sunday the snow melted and I was packing to head to Wichita for rotation #9!  I love staying with Connie and seeing Megan/Heeney/Kyle/Snyder, but man it's getting harder and harder to leave my little family!  Luckily, Karen (my MIL) is the best and always sends me lots of Dally pictures!

Isn't she the cutest?

Even cross eyed she's adorable. I do get my puppy fix in with Snyder and KC, so that helps! Isn't he awesome? I just love him.

Finally, to this weekend. My family came down to see us and to watch sub-state basketball at Chaparral. Saturday afternoon was GORGEOUS and we took advantage of it by being outside all day. Per Clay and Ben's request - shed hunting was the activity.

Yes, I found a few sheds, but I was more excited about finding these vertebrae (I know - crazy medical field nerd).

The night ended with a Lady Jay win - and of course some ice cream for us. Another great weekend in the books..and one tired pup!
