So..the last month has been crazy busy. On top of starting a new job and gearing up for/starting harvest, Ben and I have been busy going over floor plans for our forever home! It's such an exciting time for us and we can't wait to get the floor plans finalized and get the ball rolling on actual building! The decision to build was an easy one. We had always talked about building a home we would raise our children and grow old together in - the hard part was deciding where and when. After scouting out several options that really weren't that great - due to bad roads or just bad locations - we decided to slow down and just pray about it all for a while. Well, God works in awesome ways! Some land came up for sale just a few miles out of town, it had previously had a homestead on it and still had a few barns left (and did I mention it was a gorgeous view?)!
It's a comforting and wonderful feeling knowing where you will be putting down roots. Ben's a part of a 3rd generation farm and cattle operation and so we are here in HPCO to stay! Be prepared for an overload of pictures to come of every step in this next, VERY exciting project of ours!
Did I mention to add to all the chaos that harvest has started as well? My MIL and I have a deal for harvest meals this year - she is cooking them and I deliver them to the field. I think that everyone reading this can figure out who has the sweet end of this deal! Another post and lots of pictures to come - prepare yourself for lots of green, gold and naturally a few pictures of Dally!
